Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011)

Kung Fu Panda 2 is beautifully animated, in fact, its one of the best 3D movies ifve seen since Avatar,
Script is laugh out loud funny, and nearly upstages the original.
While certain things in the film like the "inner peace" bit are slightly predictable, it doesn't take away from the overall enjoyment of a sequel that improves on its predecessor rather than feeling like a watered down version of it.

Hana (2011)

A 'different' movie. Bad storyline coupled with great direction / camera / sound. Technically brilliant. The net result is quite enjoyable. You have to suspend disbelief to take in the gaps in logic, but once you do that, it's a good ride.

30.12.10

Inception (2010)

The new Christopher Nolan film delves into the human mind in time and space.
This visually stunning thriller is led artfully as ever by  Leonardo DiCaprio. Who plays an extractor, hired to plant an idea inside the mind of a man by using the latest neuro-technologies.

2.8.10

The "Watchmen"

I saw this on DVD again a few nights ago and I remembered to write it up. As its well worth a look. Dont let the genre put you off, this is not "The Fantastic 4"

This movie paints a wonderful dark world of superheroes and tells the story of the group whos time has come and gone. This is a tale of humanity more than anything, and makes you reflect on our world from many intriguing angles.

10.11.09

Zombieland

Querky view of a post apocoliptic zombie world. A obsessive compulsive geek leads you through his world with a witty narrative.
Must see although I didn't like the Bill Murry worshiping section of the film.

District 9 (2009)

This movie is sci fi with a twist.
This has been done in a mockumentry style.
But where others have failed. This most certainly succeeds.
The 3rd person orentation seems to draw the audience closer the the main character.
It also has allot of alien spatting action to keep you happy.
Worth seeing just to look at the directing style

The Reader (2008)

This film was a supprise to me as I had not read the storyline, so I wont include any spoilers.
I have to say, I viewed revolutionary road the week before. And this was 500% better.
Kate pulled of a difficult role as Hanna Schmitz, and draws the audience into the dark side.
Thrilling!

Slumdog Millionaire (2008)

One of the movies of the year in my opinion.
Although compared with city of god. The developing country gangster theme is where the comparison ends.
This film is alot more light hearted and funnier.
Although compared to COG, the character development is poor which dilutes the films theme.
Still a must see.

Yes Man

Pretty good light entertainment. Managed to make me cry with laughter at points.
Probably the funniest film ive seen in quite a while.
Im not a real fan of this guy, but it seems hes back on form

21.6.08

Re-Animator (1985)

A really comedy horror classic, with just the right mix of both.

Freddy Got Fingered (2001)

Unfortunately I cant recommend this movie to anyone over the age of 22 and under the age of 16.
Its incredibly immature, the language is fowl. And it just isnt funny at all.
But for some reasion, I love this movie.
I really should grow up!

Zoolander

I used to think about how much I hate Ben stiller and his crapy movies.

Now I still hate Ben Stiller, I just love this Film.

Thankyou to the people that taped me to the seat and made me watch this movie. Very funny indeed.
